We are finally catching our breath (and up on our emails) after returning from the Solar Power International Conference in Anaheim, California. As usual, our WWS Management Support Team did an outstanding job of representing Team WWS, meeting with new and current clients and designing an innovative booth that was, I’ll just say it, head and shoulders above the rest! This year, we brought our trademark Shipping Container booth. That booth is the only one of its kind in the industry. It is a self-contained “booth in a box” that opens up transformer-style into a coffee bar and lounge with a second story private meeting space. In addition to our repurposed shipping container, we debuted our patented monster mower that travels underneath tabled solar arrays while clearing more than five acres an hour. Needless to say, it was a showstopper!
While I love our container booth (especially since I designed it), and the mower was attention-getting and RAD, the very best aspect of our Solar Power International booth were the paneled walls that surrounded the mower. Each panel discussed our spirit of Here to Serve and the WWS culture of education, training, and mentorship. It articulated our Hire, Train, Retain program with a walking tour that began with the group interview, led into the working interview “Green Shirt” Program and continued all the way through the Solar Division, technician, and supervisorial training. I loved watching our team members walk interested clients through the tour, and seeing their faces beam with pride as they discussed and answered questions regarding our culture and amazing team members out in the field!
We’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, it’s the hard work of the men and women out in the field that make our jobs easy! We are grateful for each and every laborer, technician, project manager, and superintendent out in the field working safely to produce a quality product with a heart that is Here to Serve!
